Adina Ioana Vălean is the Chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Committee for the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. From 2014 to 2017, she was Vice-President of the European Parliament, on behalf of the EPP Group, in charge of Information, Communications, and Technology. Apart from her work in the ENVI Committee, she is a member of the Delegation for relations with the United States of America. Previously, she had been a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, where her work was focused on telecommunications, energy, as well as research and innovation. Adina Vălean has been a member of the European Parliament since 2007.
