In his role as Board Member of smartEn and Head of Market Shaping at Centrica Business Solutions (formerly REstore), Patrick Adigbli leads efforts to drive changes needed for the deployment of smart, automated and decentralized flexibility solutions. In close cooperation with customers, transmission system operators, industry associations, regulatory authorities and European institutions, the team provides in-depth expertise in a fast-paced and fragmented environment. The main focus lies on balancing, capacity and wholesale markets in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, as well as the US.

Patrick Adigbli has a long-standing career of more than 10 years in the energy industry with a strong track record in regulatory affairs, product innovation and project management. Previously, he served as Head of Public & Regulatory Affairs at the European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT, where he was in charge of policy advocacy and product development to integrate day-ahead and intraday markets in Central Western Europe. At the beginning of his career, Patrick worked for a leading business-consulting firm, performing engagements in the area of smart grids and energy market liberalization for multinationals such as EDF and TOTAL.

Patrick holds two Masters of Engineering in robotics and industrial automation from École Centrale Paris and Munich University of Technology, as well as an Executive MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs and a certified qualification in energy & network regulation from the Florence School of Regulation.
